HONG KONG DIARY I #3

Monday, July 30, 2012

Welcome to Day 3 of our holiday ! We woke up to signal No.8 and our driver told us that we got to wait till 12 noon for the next weather forecast to be released before he could send us down to the Ocean Park. Since we were already awake, we decided to brave the typhoon/thunderstorm for breakfast at Yee Shun Dairy Co but the shutters were down when we reached so we went across the road for good old Singapore style breakfast - Toast Box.

Outfit of the day. Leopard romper from Smexy-Lexi. Fitflops from Quiksilver. Cardigan from FEP.

It was only 5 minutes into our journey to Ocean Park and our driver received news that Ocean Park is closed for the day due to technical issues caused by No.10 last night. Seriously, how unlucky can we get ? Our driver dropped us back to our hotel and we proceeded to Wong Tai Sin temple.

After praying and taking enough photos, we headed to Shueng Wan for really awesome beef brisket noodles. I personally feel that it's even better than the ones at Mak's cause the broth is absolutely flavourful. One thing about Kau Kee is that they only serve beef brisket noodles in clear broth or curry. They do not serve beefballs nor receive payment in coins so it's like a strictly notes only.

We wanted to try the Lemon Honey Toast that's right opposite Kau Kee but they were closed for the day so we headed to The Peak and Madame Tussaud.

And guess who we saw at the museum ?!?!

PEK YUCUI, LOL ! Read her blog here.

Thereafter, we strolled along the streets of Central, bought very delicious egg tarts from Tai Cheong Bakery, returned to Jordan for Yee Shun Dairy Co, and we called it a day.

Places covered - Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple, Kau Kee Beef Noodles, Tai Cheong Bakery, The Peak, Madame Tussaud Wax Museum.
