I know there's an influx of advertorial as of late but don't worry this is gonna be the last one you'll see till probably Christmas. This time round I am writing for Miz Polly. I really got to thank Pauline for giving me ample time to do up this post and not rushing me despite my horrendous work schedule. I know you'll be reading this, so really really thank you (◕ ◡ ◕) Okay, back to the advertorial. I was given one of their self manufactured item - Mis Abby Peterpan Lace Dress in Navy.

I like the fact that this dress is not too flashy, yet compatible for almost any occasions. The lace embroidery details on the collars are intricate and it kinds of added a tinge of femininity when the boyish me is donned in it. I cannot emphasize how much I like the A-line cutting of the dress because I know I can go for heavy lunches and dinners without having to worry that I would show any food bump.

They also carry accessories and there's a whole lot of awesome goodies waiting for you now at Miz Polly.

Happy shopping !

On a side note, I promise to resume blogging regularly, make it like a habit or something. Things weren't looking too good previously and I admit I felt like I couldn't cope / deal with life anymore but I'm glad things are slowly changing for the better and are kinda looking hopeful now so obviously I'm gonna hope it will be more smooth sailing going forward.

Wise words

Ripped this off Yucui's,
The last thing to do to make yourself feel like a human is to breakdown and cry. We’re not robots and we are allowed to feel beaten up by every single thing that comes against or even along our way.

Just because, humans are vulnerable.

We often think that even the world abandon me, you’ll stay. It was then we realized, you’re actually part of the world.

I am back with a new advertorial ! This time it is for Workaholic and I am so glad I get to work with them because the owner is extremely nice and friendly, making this whole collaboration an enjoyable and fuss-free one. She even generously sponsored me a few pairs of falsies which are super pretty and easy to put on ! Apart from keeping trends in mind, they are also on the lookout for classic staples that we all cannot live without ! Featuring one of their self manufactured item - Belair Working Dress in Pastel Blue.

Frankly speaking, I picked this mainly because of the polka dots. Okay, putting my obsession with polka dots aside, I love how the dress is tucked at the front, accentuating my barely-can-make-it waist and giving people the illusion of having a smaller waist ♥ Not to mention, the material is extremely good and structured. I also like the balloon sleeves and how cute the overall item is.

24th Birthday Part 1

Saturday, November 3, 2012

Birthdays, to me, no doubt it's just another day where I turn a year older and all but one thing I really like about birthdays is that I get to spend time with my family, loved ones and close friends.

This year, the boyfriend brought me to The Retreat Spa, knowing that my new job has taken a major toll on me lately. It was meant to be a surprise but somehow I found out about it like one week ago so it's not so much of a surprise anymore. But nonetheless, I still feel very loved and thankful.

Welcome tea - Homemade ginger tea which I think is mad awesome

After the whole treatment

After the whole massage/spa treatment, I was brought to have dinner and to my surprise, both our parents were there ! Knowing that I am very much of a family person and how much I wanted to spend my actual birthday with my parents, the boyfriend secretly liaised with my parents and even arranged for his parents to come along, making the whole dinner a very homely one.
