TAIWAN DIARY I #1

Hello world !! I’m finally home and i swear i'm trying my very best to update a proper post on my Taiwan trip but my LG ain't really cooperating so please be patient with me alright ? The trip wasn’t full of dirt-cheap shopping like what everyone thinks but it's definitely a tumtum-filling one.

Oh by the way, I’m not gonna post every single thing bout the trip cause i'm really lazy and i need to start working on MissFayne soon. Didn't even take photos of everywhere (everything) we went (did) too. So only highlights alrights ?

Day One, 6th August. Reached the airport at 11ish, checked in (my luggage was only 9kgs!) and shopped around. And it actually slipped our mind that our departure time is 1330 and because we kept thinking that our boarding time is 1330, we had to run after our flight LOL. Anyhoots, boarded the plane just in time and we're on our way to Taipei !! :D

Arrived our destination at 1800 ish and we couldn't take the recommended FreeGo bus cause FreeGo (I don't know for what reasons) had terminated service to Xi Men Ding by 1730 that day. So we took an alternative service bus (which lasted more then the usual 45mins due to massive traffic jam) to Taipei Bus Station and took a cab down to our hotel in Xi Men Ding - Cab fare was fairly cheap, for around 100Ntd ? There are actually tonnes of signages and directions and also lotsa bus services so if youre not in a rush you could actually take your time to ask around and check ourt the prices and all :D

Our first stop is the hotel of course - Rainbow Hotel. We stayed in Rainbow Hotel for all 8 days and i stronglyyyy recommend Rainbow cause of its great location ! It's smacked right in the center of XMD, 5mins walk away from XMD station (exit via exit 6) and also, extremely friendly and helpful hotel staffs ! Definiately worth the 600Sgd paid !

Cause we arrived XMD at around 1930, we decided to just shop/ walk around the area. We had the famous Ah Zhong Mian Xian (60Ntd for the big bowl, 45Ntd for the small bowl and the brown bowl you see below is big bowl), bought glitter platforms cause i left my flipflops back at home (extremely good deal. 200Ntd), more exploring (okay, more like snacking) around, and ramen (385Ntd) for supper to sum up day one in Taipei.

Treatment Day One

Yesterday marked Day One of my treatment with Dr Chan. Having seen how Dr Chan did magic to Eileen, i've finally plucked up the courage and dug out the time to pay him a visit. Made an appointment with Dr Ong at Maple Clinic a month back but the earliest i could be treated will be September 17 and i swear my skin cannot wait ! Armani Junior's AutumnWinter Collection came in few days ago and i'm pretty sure the fur's gonna act on my skin in no time.

Though i'm not quite convinced by Dr Chan's theory of skin - no to toner, no to facial, no to sunblock, no to blotting, and yes to makeup etc. Was prescribed HGL cleanser and TetraTabs. Hope he could do some magic to my face too so that i can cancel my appointment with Maple, hees. I can forsee my pocket burning with Maple with the inevitable purging and stuff.

Will be taking another photo for comparison in say, three to five days' time when i have the time !! Be my judge aye ! :D

My response : used to do minimum 20 a set, and 3 sets a day ? then if i can still tahan, i'll continue. not alot actually :D

My response : haha ! i havent been working on my tummy for a looooong time. but i used to do crunches :D

Qn : What make you decide to open a blogshop?
My response : hi there ! haha, i never really thought of why actually. been wanting to something fashion related back in poly but never had the chance to. i guess its just passion :D

Qn : How's your skin routine like? your skin look really flawless
My response : haha oh no i dont have flawless skin ! had a mega outbreak almost exactly a year ago due to sunlight allergy (haha!) and the zits never stopped appearing since then haha.

ill just cleanse and tone, and mask (my beauty diary masks) every night and twice a week ill use my other random masks :D used to do alot more but ive decided to keep the skincare routine to as minimal as possible cause i got lazy. hees.

Newyork newyork for brunch before heading down to the IT Fair to squeeze and bargain for mega deals, heh. I'm a fish-person so the i had the Fiery Devil's Fish & Chips and Mocha topped with Vanilla icecream, and Js had the Whole Rotisserie Spring Chick and some-float-i-forgot. Total bill added to around $51 ? Fairly average cause the portion served was pretty huge. Yankee burger the next round perhaps ? Haha !!

Got my looooooooong-should-have-gotten all in one printer at the IT fair. At a dirt cheap $119, and we managed to bargain for a trolley cause it didn't come with one, hoho. By the way, my last day at Unisim will be on the 14th. It's been one hella holiday. The colleagues were nice honestly, but i seriously can't sit still and do paperwork, haha ! Will be taking a week's break before i start work at Armani. Yea, back to cozy home sweet home Club21 :D

And oh ! I so had to bitch bout what happened during dins. Was at the hawker at my area and halfway through my meal, this hot lookin' (and obviously a kan-tang one) took the table beside us and being our bitchy-selves, Js and i were anticipating how handsome her boyfriend gonna look but guess what ? Came shortly after is this balding old man whom we highly doubt is her dad and right after he sat down, he took out from his bag 2 champagne glasses and started pouring champagne into the glasses, IN A HAWKER CENTER. Seriously, act oh-so-classy in a hawker ? Might as well go somewhere atas right ! And oh, they even did the cheers thingy while savouring a plate full of hum !! *rolls eye*

Hair cut/dye at Ikon

Finally had the time to head down to Ikon to trim my bangs. After sooooooooo long huh ! Trigger happy now cause its poking my eyes no more !! Had to survive with hair/head bands wayyyy before exams cause it got so long and was irritating me ttm. So goodbye nasty overgrown bangs and boob length hair, and hello to neat bangs and short hair !!

Rewind

I've been thinking for the whole night and i realised, nothing fantastic (nor worth blogging) happened while i was away for my mugging hiatus. My world simply revolves around macro, micro, soci, msm, school, food, and sleep. So yep here you go, a mini back track (:

22 April : Hello iPhone !

Good ol Nokia E71 died on me one fine day while i was charging it and according to the technicians at Nokia, it's gonna cost at least $200 so i've decided to ditch Nokia and go for either BB or iPhone. I know it's more rational to get a BB since i'm using the touch but, i'm sad to say that i've officially joined the apple family. Been less than a month since i last got it (as a gift hurhur !) and I DROPPED IT onto the road (carpark kinda floor) when it was merely two weeks old. It slipped off my pocket and went down on the bottom corner and face flat down thereafter. And i totally regretted getting hard casing cause there's certain areas that are not protected. So yea, switched to sillicon now but my very fragile phone got chipped and a few scratches here and there. Nonetheless, i'm still loving my phone and hopefully apple could do something to it.

06 May - 13 May : Exam Period

If you've been a faithful follower of mine on twitter, then you should prolly know by now that this year's exam was a major crap. I swear i did study, and i can say i'm alot more hardworking than the previous year but i seriously got no effing idea why everytime i flipped the question booklet over and scan through for i-know-i-can-do questions, i feel like a major pile of shit. Had two freaking papers on the 6th - Macroeconomics and Sociology, another on the 11th and the last paper's on the 13th. When i received the dates from RELC, i knew i had to drop Soci cause i needed to score for Macro so that i could at least have some hope in obtaining a secondupper when i graduate. But ladyluck ain't really on my side so i doubt i could score for Macro and to add on to my misery, my Sociology paper was horrible and i MIGHT have to dabao next year. I could go on and on, whining bout my MSM and Micro paper but i'm not gonna do so cause it'll probably take another 30 minutes and it'll just bore the shit outta you. So i shall shut my gap and till the results are out, enjoy my long awaited and well deserved holidays. Perhaps some miracle will appear and i'll scrap through my Soci and Micro haha !!

Mommy, its over !!

The damn exams' finally over !! Past few months been really tough - camping in school all day and night, sleepless nights, late night muggings, panda eyes, falling ill, you name it i'll have it. Left the blogosphere for quite some time so i'll need some getting used to before i'll blog proper aye ? Will be back soon with tonnes of backdated updates !!
